Tersangka diketahui berinisial NO Bin AS, lahir Cimahi, 16 November 1993, berprofesi sebagai buruh. Yang beralamat di Kp Sukamanah, Desa Hegarmanah, Kecamatan Bojongopicung, Kabupaten Cianjur.
Menurut Kabid Humas Polda Jabar Kombes Pol. Erdi A. Chaniago, S.I.K., M.Si., pelaku memukul kepala korban. Dengan menggunakan kayu kaso, hingga korban terjatuh, dikarenakan tersangka merasa sakit hati dengan ucapan dan sikap korban seolah-olah merendahkan harga diri tersangka.
