90% Mahasiswa UIN Bandung Dapat Keringanan UKT 10%……..!

REKTOR UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Prof. Dr. H. Mahmud, M.Si, memastikan hampir seluruh mahasiswanya, baik program Diploma maupun Sarjana. Mendapat keringanan UKT pada Semester Ganjil tahun Akademik 2020/2021. Keringan yang diberikan berupa pemotongan biaya UKT sebesar 10%.
“Mahasiswa UIN Bandung tercatat berjumlah 23.121 orang. Sebanyak 20.642 atau sekitar 90% mahasiswa menerima keringanan UKT berupa pemotongan 10%. Dengan total lebih Rp.5,6 miliar,” terangnya di gedung O. Djauharuddin AR, beberapa waktu lalu.
“Ada 2.479 mahasiswa atau sekitar 10% yang tidak mendapat keringan. Karena mereka masuk dalam K1 dan karena alasan sudah menerima beasiswa,” sambungnya.
Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) telah menerbitkan Keputusan Menteri Agama (KMA) No 515 tahun 2020 tentang Keringanan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) Pada Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Negeri (PTKN). Atas Dampak Bencana Wabah Covid-19. KMA ini terbit pada 12 Juni 2020. Sebagai tindak lanjut, UIN Bandung menerbitkan kebijakan memberikan keringanan UKT.
Selain pemotongan, keringan UKT diberikan dalam bentuk perpanjangan masa pembayaran. Mahasiswa diberi kesempatan membayar dalam rentang 15 Juli sampai dengan 14 Agustus 2020.
“Pembayaran UKT juga bisa dilakukan dengan cara diangsur atau dicicil sebanyak dua kali,” jelasnya.
Khusus bagi Orangtua yang terdampak Covid-19, UIN Bandung memberi tambahan keringan UKT. Jika ada Orangtua atau Wali Mahasiswa yang wafat karena Covid, UIN beri potongan UKT sebesar 100%.
“Saat ini tercatat ada empat mahasiswa yang mendapat keringan potongan UKT hingga 100%,” tuturnya.
Wakil Rektor II Bidang Administrasi Umum, Perencanaan dan Keuangan, Dr. H. Tedi Priatna, M.Ag menambahkan, jika ada Orangtua atau Wali yang terkena dampak Covid seperti di PHK, atau mengalami kerugian dan penutupan usaha atau mengalami penurunan pendapatan secara signifikan. Maka mahasiswa tersebut juga akan menerima tambahan keringanan pemotongan UKT 10% sehingga, totalnya menjadi 20%.
“Katergori ini jumlahnya cukup signifikan. Data kami mencatat ada 1.455 mahasiswa yang mendapat pemotongan 20%. 936 mahasiswa juga sudah mengajukan permohonan untuk melakukan pembayaran dengan sistem mencicil dua kali,” tandasnya.
Menurutnya, kebijakan ini menjadi bagian dari kepedulian Kampus terhadap mahasiswa. Ia berharap tidak ada mahasiswa UIN Bandung yang putus kuliah, karena terdampak pandemi Covid-19. (Intan).
