BANDUNG, BEREDUKASI.COM — KETUA DPRD Kota Bandung H. Tedy Rusmawan, A.T., M.M., mengikuti Upacara Peringatan Hari Kemerdekaan Ke-77 Republik Indonesia, di Balai Kota Bandung, Rabu, (17/8/2022).
Upacara dipimpin oleh Wali Kota Bandung Yana Mulyana, dan dihadiri oleh sejumlah pimpinan Forkopimda Kota Bandung. Pada upacara itu, Ketua Dewan membacakan naskah Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia.
Seusai acara, Tedy menyampaikan rasa hormatnya kepada para Legiun Veteran Republik Indonesia (LVRI) Kota Bandung yang menghadiri upacara. Anggota LVRI menjadi bagian penting perjalanan negara sehingga masyarakat Indonesia, terutama warga Kota Bandung bisa merasakan kehidupan demokrasi di Tanah Air yang berdaulat.
‘Tentu kita bisa melihat dari pemberitaan internasional bahwa masih ada negara-negara yang mengalami konflik internasional. Warganya tentu masih merasakan perihnya hidup di bawah ancaman peperangan. Kita patut bersyukur atas nikmat kemerdekaan. Tinggal upaya kita untuk berkontribusi, mulai dari yang terdekat dengan membangun dan menjaga Kota Bandung tercinta,’ tutur Tedy.
Ia menambahkan, selepas 77 tahun merdeka, Indonesia telah mengalamai banyak kemajuan. Masih banyak tugas yang harus dikerjakan untuk membenahi Kota
Bandung dan menaikkan kesejahteraan warganya. Dengan hadirnya otonomi daerah, misi memajukan Kota Bandung tentu menjadi pemaknaan lanjutan perjuangan para pahlawan oleh generasi penerus.
‘Semangat perjuangan ini bisa kita lihat, misalnya dari pejuang UMKM yang mampu bertahan dari impitan ekonomi saat pandemi. Juga pejuang-pejuang nafkah keluarga yang tanpa disadari meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Bandung. Kita bisa berjuang melewati bencana pandemi. Sudah saatnya kita berlari dan membangun Kota Bandung lebih maju lagi,’ ujarnya.
Seusai upacara, Tedy juga menghampiri anggota Paskibraka Kota Bandung yang dengan lancar telah menjalani prosesi pengibaran bendera Merah Putih di Balai Kota Bandung. Tedy mengapresiasi hasil jerih payah paskibraka yang terlahir dari latihan panjang nan disiplin.
