Pada pembukaan kegiatan uji siap tempur yang laksanakan ini, merupakan program latihan dan latihan ini sudah melalui tahapan-tahapan yang terlebih dahulu. Melaksanakan latihan Taktis dan sekarang melaksanakan Uji Siap Sempur.
Danrindam III/Siliwangi menyatakan, “Saya yakin dari mulai Danyon sampai dengan anggota bertanggung jawab untuk melaksanakan latihan ini. Namanya uji untuk menguji kesiapan kita bahwa Yonkav 4 Siap tempur”.
“Dan saat ini kita lebih sederhana dibandingkan tahun lalu. Tahun lalu bagaimana caranya supaya Kavaleri itu bisa berjalan Uji Siap Tempur untuk OMSP yang sekarang OMP Sehingga TNI bekerja secara profesionalitas TNI. Kalau TNI siap saya yakin OMSP sudah pasti siap,” jelas Danrindam.
Selanjutnya kata Danrindam, “Tugas pokok Yonkav 4 sebagai satuan Banpur Kodam III/Siliwangi. Mendukung Tugas pokok Kodam II/Siliwangi. Sehingga persiapannya harus dicerminkan dari palaksanaan latihan terutama latihan Uji Siap Tempur. Jadi saya harapkan betul-betul dilaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya “.
“Uji Siap Tempur Satuan Tingkat Kompi ini, merupakan pengujian latihan. Sehingga diharapkan Kodam sebagai pasukan pengguna mengharapkan satuan ini siap untuk melaksanakan tugas,” terangnya.
Kemudian kata Danrindam, “Tujuannya dari latihan UST ini, untuk menguji dan mengukur kemampuan tempur satuan Tingkat Kompi dalam mengaplikasikan tehnik, taktik dan prosedur. Tingkat Kompi sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku”.
“Mengingat latihan ini diluar, sehingga laksanakan koordinasi yang baik. Baik kepada pendukung maupun kegiatan-kegiatan yang bersifat berhubungan dengan masyarakat. Sehingga kegiatan ini bisa dilaksanakan dengan aman, lancar dan tertib serta mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan,” ucapnya.
Pada UST satuan Tingkat Kompi Yonkav 4/KC ini, menurunkan 15 unit Tank yang terdiri dari 9 unit Tank Kanon 105, 4 unit Tank APC, dan 2 unit Tank Kanon sebagai cadangan.
Pada akhirnya Danrindam berpesan, “Tumbuhkan semangat dan motivasi latihan. Sehingga latihan dapat dilaksanakan dengan benar, semuanya motivasinya ya kita berlatih. Berlatih untuk mempertanggung jawabkan kemampuan-kemampuan apa yang harus dipertahankan dan apa yang harus ditingkatkan”.
