JAKARTA, BEREDUKASI.COM — PERADABAN dan interpretasi agama selalu berkembang dari waktu ke waktu. Secara normatif; historis agama dan budaya (an-sich) telah mengawal dan membimbing manusia. Meski transfigurasi global di berbagai negara membuat keberadaan dan nilainya bergeser dan mendapat tantangan baru.
Namun selalu terjadi dialog antara tatanan nilai agama yang menjadi cita-cita religius dengan tata nilai budaya lokal.
Lakon dari sisi sejarah, sosiologis, dan antrapologis dalam perspektif agama inilah yang kemudian diketengahkan dalam format film semi dokumenter berjudul ‘Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari.
Film tersebut resmi telah dirilis melalui acara nonton bareng di Gedung Bioskop Pusat Perfilman Haji Umar Ismail (PPHUI), Kuningan Jakarta Selatan, Senin (26/12/2022).
Film produksi Expressa Pariwara Media Production ini disutradarai Ensadi Joko Santoso dan Zulkifli Anwar. Cerita dan skenarionya disusun Irfan Wijaya.
Melibatkan para aktor senior antara lain; Billy Boedjanger, Asrul Dahlan, Afrizal Anoda, dan aktor lainnya. Diperkuat para pemain lokal yang merupakan putra daerah asli Kalimantan Selatan.
Film ini tidak saja menempatkan keterkaitan historis kesejarahan Islam di Nusantara (bertarikh 1700 Masehi), namun juga menggambarkan sisi penting transformasi intelektual Islam yang bertolak dari nilai-nilai universalisme Islam.
Film dengan tagline “Matahari Dari Bumi Banjar” ini merepresentasikan pertautan dialektis kreatif antara nilai universal agama (Islam) dengan budaya lokal (Banjar Kalimantan Selatan).
Melalui sosok Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari, cerita film ini mengetengahkan corak ajaran Islam dalam kesatuan spiritual dan keterkaitan historis.
Al Banjari memang seorang ulama multi disiplin dari tanah Banjar dengan kefaqihannya mencakup berbagai tatanan dan tuntunan Fiqh maupun pengajaran ilmu Tasawuf.
Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari, mampu mencerahkan masyarakat Banjar dari kurangnya literasi keagamaan berbahasa Melayu saat itu. Keahlian Ilmu Astronomi (Ilmu Falak) menjadi hal penting jejak rekam sejarah ilmu pengetahuan yang dimiliki Syekh Arsyad diluar ilmu keagamaan.
Karyanya kitab “Sabilal Muhtadin” menjadi referensi bagi banyak Negara tetangga. Kitab ini dikenal luas di kalangan kaum muslimin di kepulauan Nusantara. Hingga saat ini kitab tersebut masih banyak digunakan, khususnya di Kalimantan dan Sumatera.
Kitab ‘Sabilal Muhtadin’ juga tersebar hingga Brunei Darussalam, Kamboja, Thailand dan Malaysia. Bahkan tersimpan pula di berbagai perpustakaan besar di dunia Islam, seperti di Mekkah, Mesir, Turki dan Beirut.
Melalui kitab ini, Karel Adriaan Steenbrink (seorang teolog kebangsaan Belanda) menyatakan, bahwa Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari merupakan satu-satunya tokoh yang mengarang begitu luas dan sistematis di bidang Ilmu Fiqh (Hukum Islam) dalam Bahasa Melayu.
Setidaknya urgensi inilah yang menjadi dasar bagi Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan dan Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan memfilmkan jejak kehidupan beliau.

Diproduksinya Film “Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari” menjadi hal menarik. Sebab ada upaya daerah menghidupkan dunia film dari pinggiran. Artinya produksi film tidak selalu didominasi para cukong (pedagang) dari Jakarta.
Industri film memang seharusnya tumbuh di daerah. Memberdayakan potensi lokal. Sehingga karya film tidak dimonopoli kepentingan para cukong yang kadang hanya berorientasi dagang semata. Kearifan lokal tidak tumbuh atau kurang, karena cerita film hanya dibangun berdasarkan persepsi dan asumsi dagang oleh para cukong.
Kita bangga karena film ini juga diperkuat oleh para pemain lokal – putra daerah Kalimantan Selatan. Seperti Yadi Muryadi, M. Syahriel dan Paman Birin (Dr. H. Sahbirin Noor, S.sos, M. H., Gubernur Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan), beserta ASN jajaran instansi Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan.
Film ini juga melibatkan para siswa Sekolah Kejuruan Perfilman SMKN 2 dan SMKN 3 Banjarmasin sebagai crew produksi film. Melibatkan pula beberapa zuriyat (keturunan) Syekh Arsyad, baik sebagai pemeran maupun sebagai narasumber.

Upaya pengkayaan konten cerita film ini sudah tepat. Setidaknya ada proses riset, pengumpulan data; literasi, maupun keterangan lisan. Selanjutnya ada pembahasan materi cerita melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) antara Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, para akademisi dari berbagai disiplin ilmu, serta zuriyat (keturunan) dari Syekh Arsyad.
Film sebagai produk budaya dan industri tentu dapat menerapkan kontrol kulturalnya melalui beragam cara. Sangatlah dipahami jika sampai saat ini inferioritas masih mendominasi sebagian masyarakat Indonesia.
Sehingga apapun yang datang dari daerah; lokal; bersifat tradisional seolah-olah tak bermutu. Sebaliknya apapun nilai-nilai budaya berasal dari Barat kerap dianggap lebih indah, lebih menarik, dan lebih modern dibanding budaya Timur.
Rekognisi tersebut berdampak pada karya film, khususnya terkait dengan ide cerita. Cerita film Indonesia dinilai miskin gagasan, terutama menyangkut cerita-cerita berbasis budaya Indonesia.
Cerita dikonstruksi lewat pikiran imajiner terhadap sebuah realitas. Tanpa menghadirkan realitas itu sendiri secara esensial. Manipulasi kenyataan melalui simulasi yang mereduksi keseimbangan antara citra dan realitas.
Akibat adanya imperialisme budaya tersebut semakin banyak budaya asing masuk ke Indonesia mempengaruhi budaya Indonesia sendiri. Mereka masuk melalui industri budaya pop, dengan berbagai jenis dan cara. Antara lain lewat fashion (pakaian), dance (tarian), lagu-lagu, musik, dan artisnya.
Semua terdominasi lewat cerita film yang dikemas dalam bentuk industri budaya pop. Akibatnya cerita film Indonesia miskin gagasan kulturalnya. Apalagi cerita film berbasis sejarah keagamaan, seperti film ‘Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari’ ini.
*Lemah Pada Teknik Unggul di Gagasan*
Kurangnya dari film ‘Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari’ ini lemah dari sisi dan unsur teknis sinematografisnya. Film dengan pendekatan naratif (bertutur) kerap membosankan, yang harusnya penonton mendapat remunerasi berupa gambar-gambar hidup (sinematik) dan estetik.
Film juga kurang menampilkan budaya asli dan keindahan alam Kalimantan Selatan seperti yang dijanjikan. Jika ada masih terkesan artifisial, tempelan dan dipaksakan. Terutama setting lokasi, aksesoris (property), dan kostum yang tidak rinci, kurang detail dan sebagian tidak memiliki landasan historis.
Penonton misalnya tak merasakan estetika filmis yang benar-benar mampu memotret keindahan Geopark Meratus, Kawasan Matang Kaladan, Riam Kanan dan Loksado, serta Bumi Sholawat Kiram.
Padahal kawasan ini penting dalam rangka ikut mempromosikan potensi daerah dan mendongkrak pendapatan asli daerah melalui industri pariwisata. Dimana komponen pengembangan kawasan taman bumi ini terkait potensi pengembangan masyarakat, pembangunan ekonomi dan konservasi.
Namun film ‘Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari’ tetap keren. Menjadi spirit fenomena Geopark Meratus, yang menyimpan sejarah ekshumasi; terangkatnya kembali suatu massa yang pernah tenggelam.
Teruslah membuat film. Agar industri ini tumbuh. Agar ribuan orang yang menggantungkan nasibnya di industri ini dapat survive. Ikut mengembangkan karya-karya sinema alternatif, yang menginspirasi, memotivasi dan mengedukasi.
