BANDUNG, BEREDUKASI.COM — WALI Kota Bandung Yana Mulyana memastikan, Pemerintah Kota Bandung akan berperan dan berkontribusi secara aktif dalam mendukung penyelenggaraan kegiatan menuju Presidensi G20.
Hal tersebut diungkapkan Yana saat menerima Audiensi dari Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) bersama UNESCO Cities Platform (UCP) di Balai Kota Bandung, Rabu, 20 April 2022.
‘Pemkot siap berperan dan berkontribusi aktif melalui berbagai acara yang mendukung penyelenggaraan G20. G20 akan terasa dampaknya kepada masyarakat pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. Palagai kalau kita perbanyak ‘Side-side Event’ dan pengelolaannya,’ katanya.
Lebih lanjut, Yana berharap rangkaian kegiatan G20 yang digelar di Kota Kembang dapat membawa Kota Bandung ke kancah internasional.
‘Kita sangat dukung. Kita lakukan bersama demi Bandung lebih baik dan bisa membawa nama Kota Bandung ke kancah internasional,’ tuturnya.
Sementara itu, Deputi Kemitraan Strategis ICCN, Dwinita Larasati mengatakan dalam rangkaian menuju Presidensi G20, ICCN bersama UCP akan menggelar acara bertajuk Beyond Urban sebagai Road to G20 di Kota Bandung pada Juni mendatang.
‘Peran Kota Bandung sangat strategis dalam aktivitas road to G20. Kami berharap hadirnya acara ini membawa pesan positif,’ kata Dwinita.
Ia mengungkapkan, acara tersebut akan berbentuk konferensi secara daring dan luring pada 29-30 Juni 2022. Acara ini akan mengundang lebih dari perwakilan dari 200 Kota dan Kabupaten Se-Indonesia.
‘Acara ini juga bermitra dengan Komite Nasional Indonesia untuk UNESCO (KNIU) dan Duta Besar permanen RI untuk UNESCO,’ kata dia.
Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) atau Jejaring Kota/Kabupaten Kreatif Indonesia adalah simpul organisasi yang berkomitmen untuk mewujudkan 10 Prinsip Kota Kreatif.
Kini dalam ICCN telah tergabung 211 inisiatif Kota dan Kabupaten di bawah koordinasi 11 Koordinator Daerah yang tergabung dalam Pengurus Pusat ICCN.
Perlu diketahui, G20 (Group of Twenty) adalah kelompok yang terdiri 20 negara dengan perekonomian besar di dunia ditambah dengan Uni Eropa.
