Kunjungan Kasdam tersebut, didampingi Komandan Sektor 4 Satgas Citarum Harum Kolonel Inf Asep Nurdin, Komandan Kompi (Danki) Satgas Citarum Harum Sektor 4/Majalaya Lettu Arh Dwi Iswantoro dan personil Satgas lainnya.
Dalam kunjungannya, Kasdam III/Siliwangi memberikan pembinaan terhadap jajaran TNI berkaitan dengan kondisi lingkungan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Sekaligus menyampaikan tentang peranan TNI dalam upaya membantu masyarakat. Khususnya tentang kebutuhan pangan atau kebutuhan bahan pokok yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat.
Brigjen TNI Kunto mengatakan, “Sumber pokok atau makanan (pangan) sangat penting untuk asupan gizi di dalam tubuh manusia”.
“Asupan gizi atau makanan bisa membuat orang itu pintar, percaya diri dan memiliki karakter yang baik. Sehingga asupan gizi makanan itu, sangat penting untuk menentukan kualitas seseorang,” kata Kasdam.
Meski bahan pokok itu sempat tak dilirik lanjutnya, tetapi yang namanya bahan pokok. Baik itu negara maju tetap dibutuhkan untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan makan. Ia mengatakan, negara Industri salasatunya yang bergerak dalam Bidang Pertanian, tetap membutuhkan teknologi untuk mengolah lahan pertanian padi maupun tanaman lainnya.
“Yang jelas, tanah sebagai tempat kita berdiri dan berkomunikasi dengan sesama manusia. Sangat dibutuhkan untuk sumber penghidupan. Apakah itu dijadikan lahan pertanian padi atau hal lainnya. Hal itu bergantung pada profesinya masing-masing dan bergantung pada nilai kebutuhannya,” ucapnya.
Menurut Brigjen TNI Kunto, “Potensi alam dan komunitas yang ada ini, bergantung pada batas kemampuan dan nilai kemampuan seseorang manusia. Misalnya, orang tersebut memiliki kemampuan dalam bidang pertanian, sehingga mereka bisa memanfaatkan keahliannya dalam bidang pertanian dengan menerapkan teknologi pertanian”.
