Semarang, Jawa Tengah, BEREDUKASI.Com — PADA hari Sabtu, (6/6/2020), pukul 13.40 Helikopter MI-17, mengalami musibah jatuh di Kaliwungu, Kec. Kendal, Jawa Tengah. Helikopter MI-17 milik TNI AD dengan nomor registrasi HA 514.
Helikopter tersebut sedang melaksanakan misi latihan terbang di Pusat Pendidikan Penerbang AD, Semarang Jawa Tengah. Sebagai bagian dari program Pendidikan Calon Perwira Penerbang 1.
Helikopter dinyatakan dalam kondisi baik sebelum terbang, karena saat dilaksanakan Pre-Flight Check, tidak ditemukan hal-hal mencurigakan. Selain itu, misi latihan terbang Endurance pertama (sebelum misi ke-2) juga berjalan dengan aman.
Bahkan sekitar pukul 12.35, Helikopter ini melaksanakan kembali misi latihan terbang Endurance Ke-Dua dengan materi terbang Tactical Manuver. Dan disinilah musibah jatuhnya Helikopter terjadi.
Setelah jatuh, Helikopter MI-17 ini terbakar dan menyebabkan 4 Orang Crew meninggal dunia. Sementara 5 lainnya luka-luka. Korban luka-luka saat ini, sudah dievakuasi ke Rumah Sakit terdekat.
Menurut Kadispenad Brigjen TNI Nefra Firdaus, penyebab jatuhnya Helikopter MI-17 TNI AD masih dalam proses investigasi.
