“Ruang Redaksi sudah bertransformasi dari ruang kerja yang monoton. Menjadi lebih milenials. Suasananya seperti kedai-kedai kopi waralaba Internasional. Masa depan pers itu ada di Media Online,” tegasnya.
Sementara itu, Ketua Umum SMSI Auri Jaya mengatakan, SMSI Pusat saat ini. Sedang mengupayakan agar, awal tahun 2019 SMSI resmi menjadi Konstituen Dewan Pers.
“SMSI sedang berupaya agar awal tahun ini, resmi menjadi Konstituen Dewan Pers. Provinsi-provinsi yang mendapat penghargaan, merupakan Provinsi yang berperan aktif dalam program-program SMSI dan kemerdekaan pers secara umum,” kata Auri.
Sekertaris SMSI, Firdaus, menambahkan, Rapimnas SMSI ini adalah bagian dari konsolidasi. Dalam melihat berbagai problem terkait dengan pesatnya pertumbuhan jumlah Perusahaan ?Media Siber yang semakin menjamur.
“Pertumbuhan tidak terpusat di Jakarta atau kota-kota yang menjadi Ibukota Provinsi saja, tetapi di hampir seluruh Kabupaten/Kota di tanah air,” tuturnya.
Kondisi saat ini, lanjut Firdaus, sebagian besar pengelola Media Siber baik yang di Jakarta maupun di Ibukota Provinsi. Tengah berjuang untuk membesarkan kelangsungan usahanya, ditengah persaingan yang semakin ketat pada Era Digital saat ini.
“Dengan kondisi demikian, SMSI Pusat segera mengambil langkah cepat dengan menggelar Rapimnas. Yang diikuti seluruh anggota Pengurus Pusat, para Ketua dan Sekretaris Pengurus Provinsi SMSI. Persoalan kesehatan dan keuangan perusahaan. Akan menjadi salasatu bahasan. Karena problem ini menjadi persoalan yang menggejala secara umum,” katanya.
Dalam Rapimnas itu juga SMSI Pusat, memberikan Penghargaan kepada Enam SMSI Provinsi, yang dinilai aktif menumbuh kembangkan kemerdekaan Pers dan SMSI Daerah. Ke-Enam Provinsi itu adalah SMSI Provinsi Bengkulu, Bangka Blitung, Jawa Timur, Jawa Barat, Sulawesi Tenggara, dan Provinsi Lampung. (Red)
