Kota Bandung Resmi Operasikan Laboratorium BSL-2…….!
Bandung, BEREDUKASI.Com — LABORATORIUM Biosafety Level (BSL) resmi beroperasi di Kantor Dinas Kesehatan Kota Bandung, Jl. Supratman, Kamis (14/5/2020). Laboratorium ini dapat menguji 200 sampel setiap harinya.
Wali Kota Bandung, Oded M. Danial meresmikan langsung laboratorium ini.
“Mudah-mudahan dengan adanya lab ini, 200 sampel yang akan diperiksa,” ujarnya di sela-sela peresmian.
Laboratorium ini dibantu tenaga ahli dari Institut Teknologi Bandung. “Ini merupakan ikhtiar kita menyikapi penyebaran Covid-19,” tuturnya.
Perlu diketahui, BSL-2 yaitu Laboratorium yang digunakan untuk menguji agen penyakit yang cukup potensial membahayakan petugas laboratorium dan lingkungannya.
Dengan adanya laboratorium ini, Oded juga berharap, pemetaan Covid-19 di Kota Bandung bisa semakin baik.
“Hari ini diperiksa, besok sudah ada hasilnya. Kita harap mappingnya juga cepat,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Kota Bandung, Rita Verita mengungkapkan, BSL-2 Kota Bandung baru memilki kesiapan menguji 5.000 Sampel.
“Untuk saat ini kita targetkan untuk pandemi. Karena kita siapnya baru 5.000 dulu. Satu hari bisa memeriksa 200 Sampel,” katanya.
Terkait tenaga medis, Rita menyampaikan, terdapat tenaga analis labolatorium Dinkes Kota Bandung ditambah tenaga dari mahasisiwa ITB yang sudah siap untuk pelaksanaan operasional BSL–2.
“Tenaga Medisnya itu kita punya Analis dari Labilatorium juga ditambah tenaga-tenaga dari mahasiswa ITB yang sudah siap untuk membantu pelaksanan operasional Lab ini,” ungkapnya. (Ris).
