Bandung, BEREDUKASI.Com — JIKA menyebut Masjid Agung di Kota Bandung, mungkin sebagian dari kita menunjuk ke Masjid yang berada di Alun-alun Kota Bandung.

Tentu tidak sepenuhnya salah. Karena hingga tahun 2003, Masjid yang berada di Alun-alun Kota Bandung tersebut. Masih bernama Masjid Agung Bandung. Nama tersebut berubah setelah Masjid tersebut dipugar dan diresmikan menjadi Masjid Raya Jawa Barat.

Sedangkan Masjid Agung Kota Bandung kini disandang oleh Masjid Al-Ukhuwah di Jl. Wastukancana.

Namun Masjid Al Ukhuwah juga ternyata menyimpan banyak Sejarah. Lokasi berdirinya Masjid Al Ukhuwah ternyata dahulunya berdiri Loge Sint Jan.

Sejumlah sumber menyebut, Loge Sint Jan merupakan Loge (sebutan untuk tempat Ibadah Penganut Freemason) ke-13 di Hindia Belanda.

Loge Sint Jan disebut sebagai “Gedung Setan” atau “Rumah Setan” oleh masyarakat. Karena konon berbagai upacara Ritual Asing dan aneh pernah dilakukan di dalamnya.⠀

Tetapi di luar itu, para Penganut Freemason juga membuka sebuah perpustakaan bernama “De Openbare bibliotheek van Bandoeng”. Dari perpustakaan inilah Soekarno selama masa penahanannya di Banceuy memperoleh buku-buku yang dijadikan referensi dalam pembuatan pledoi Indonesia Menggugat.⠀

Selain itu, Loji ini memberikan kredit ringan kepada masyarakat untuk memerangi rentenir. Di bidang pendidikan, mereka mendirikan Bandoengsche Schoolvereniging yang berhasil mengadakan 3 Sekolah Dasar, 3 Sekolah Menengah dan Sebuah Taman Kanak-kanak.

Tidak hanya itu, perkumpulan Freemason Hindia Belanda juga merupakan penyokong pendirian lembaga Orang Buta di Bandung.

Meskipun banyak melakukan hal terpuji, Loge Sint Jan dibongkar pada tahun 1960. Tidak ada keterangan resmi mengapa gedung itu dibongkar.

Namun, menurut tulisan di situs resmi milik Kecamatan Sumur Bandung sumurbandung.bandung.go.id), dikabarkan gedung tersebut dibongkar lantaran adanya pelarangan Loge Agung Indonesia dan organisasi lain atas alasan mengikuti ajaran Freemason.

Setelah dibongkar, dibangunlah sebuah gedung baru di atas tanah tempat Loge Sint Jan berdiri. Nama gedung tersebut adalah Graha Pancasila.

Dari sisi fisik bangunan, ada perbedaan yang cukup mencolok antara Loge Sint Jan dan Graha Pancasila. Jika sebelumnya bangunan itu terlihat lebar ke samping, maka pada saat menjadi Graha Pancasila, bangunan di sana memanjang. Perbedaan itu menyebabkan tempat parkir lebih sempit, tidak seperti saat masih bernama Loge Sint Jan.

Tetapi Graha Pancasila juga tak berumur panjang. Setelah dibongkar, akhirnya Masjid Al-Ukhuwah didirikan dan mulai digunakan pada tahun 1998 hingga sekarang. ⠀

Kini di saat salat Zuhur dan Asar di hari kerja dipastikan penuh oleh ASN. Mereka menggiatkan Shalat Tepat Waktu (Bandung Bersatu) seperti yang dicanangkan oleh Wali Kota Bandung, Oded M. Danial. (Ris).
