Pun soal karier Nyanyi, Melly juga sebatas mengarahkan, tidak mengharuskan mengikuti jejaknya.
‘Dia kebetulan suka nyanyi, ya, saya tinggal ngarahin aja. Nggak pernah memaksa harus mengikuti karier mamahnya,’ kata Melly serius.
Sebagai ibu yang putrinya menginjak remaja, Melly mengaku tidak terlalu protektif dalam mendidik.
‘Sebagai seorang ibu yang memiliki anak cewek remaja, tentu was-was. Tapi untuk mengurangi kecemasan, saya dan suami memberikan pemahaman baik buruknya dalam pergaulan.
