Dimana sekolah berusaha memberikan pelayanan yang Prima baik dalam pengajarannya, sehingga menghasilkan siswa yang Prima juga,” ujar Widaningsih, Wakil Kapala Sekolah Bidang Kesiswaan.
Selain kegiatan di dalam sekolah, lingkup aktivitas kepramukaan SMPN 14 Bandung juga dilaksanakan secara lebih luas yakni antar sekolah, antar kota bahkan sampai ke lintas provinsi hingga negara. Saat ini SMPN 14 Bandung juga aktif dalam kegiatan luar negeri misalnya dalam “JAMBORE”, beberapa siswa sempat diberangkatkan ke Inggris, Swedia, Thailand, Malaysia dan Jepang.
“Kepramukaan di SMPN 14 Bandung diupayakan secara maksimal, karena kegiatan ini membuat mentalitas siswa terbina. Malah dalam belajar juga tambah semangat dan disiplin,” ujar Widaningsih.
Widaningsih mengungkapkan, bahwa hasil dari kegiatan kepramukaan sangat baik, diantaranya pengembangan karakter siswa yang mulai memiliki kesadaran hukum, peduli dengan aturan norma di masyarakat, menggunakan nilai-nilai agama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan tentunya bisa menyeimbangkan intelektualitas dan mentalitas. Sesuai dengan visi SMPN 14 Bandung yang ingin mewujudkan sekolah yang Berkarakter, Berprestasi dan Berwawasan Lingkungan.
“Dalam kegiatan kami juga selalu bekerjasama dengan banyak pihak, dimana alumni-alumni SMPN 14 Bandung juga memiliki semangat untuk mengajar juniornya di sekolah, orang tuapun ikut berpartisipasi dalam kelancaran kegiatan.
