Garut, BEREDUKASI.Com — SETIDAKNYA sejak 2008, United Nation of Education Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Memberlakukan Konvensi untuk Perlindungan Warisan Budaya takbenda.

UNESCO mulai aktif mengenali nilai-nilai takbenda seperti Tradisi, Adat Istiadat, Ruang Budaya beserta tokoh-tokoh setempat. Yang melestarikan bentuk-bentuk Ekspresi Budaya tersebut.

Program ini bertunjuan untuk menarik perhatian, tentang pentingnya melindungi warisan takbenda yang telah diidentifikasi UNESCO. Sebagai komponen penting dan suatu kumpulan keragaman Budaya serta Ekspresi Kreatif.

Dan Batik Indonesia telah ditetapkan pada 2 Oktober 2009 sebagai Warisan Dunia dari Indonesia yakni “Warisan Kemanusiaan untuk Budaya Lisan dan Nonbendawi (Masterpieces of the Oral and the Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Ini hari penting bagi Kebudayaan Indonesia, sekaligus tantangan bagi kita. Karena harapannya setelah ditetapkannya Batik sebagai Karya Agung dalam Warisan Budaya Indonesia. Maka harus dikelola dengan baik dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat luas. Bukan hanya para pengrajin Batik-nya saja, tetapi masyarakat luas.

Bagi Kabupaten Garut sendiri, khususnya menyangkut kegiatan atau event telah sejak tahun 2005 mengadakan kegiatan “Lomba Model dan Desain Busana Batik” (Jawa Barat). Sehingga bermuncullan lah Busana Batik yang dipadu-padankan dengan Kain Polos, Batik disandingkan dengan Bahan Kaos, Jeans dan sebagainya.

Kini untuk ke-5 kalinya di tahun 2019, pada “Pesona Garut Intan Carnival”. Maka Batik (sebagai Kain maupun Motif) dikreasikan dalam bentuk “Costum Carnaval Creative” dengan memadu-padankan bahan lain. Berupa Potensi Lokal (Jawa Barat) seperti Akar Wangi dan Kulit dari Garut, Mendong dan Bordel dari Tasikmalaya, Bambu dari Ciamis, dan bahan-bahan potensi lokal yang akan tergali kemudian. Dan inilah yang membedakan event ini, dengan event sejenis dari daerah lain.

Selain Kreasi Kostum Karnaval dengan kandungan bahan Batik, pada “Pesona Garut Intan Carnival”. Yang akan dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, (26/10/19) (Sebelumnya dijadwalkan berlangsung Sabtu, (19/10). Namun karena jelang Pelantikan Presiden, maka rekomendasi dari Pihak Kepolisian disarankan untuk diundurkan, Red) ini dengan Venue di Jl.Veteran,  Garut. Bahkan terdapat kegiatan “Defile Uniform Batik” yang akan menampikan “Uniform Batik” dari tiap Instansi (Pemerintah maupun Swasta) ataupun Kelompok setidaknya berjumlah 10 orang.

“Uniform Batik ini tidak perlu seragam atau sama, apalagi baru (karena bukan Lebaran). Justru dari keanega-ragaman Motif dan Warna inilah sesungguhnya kekayaan dan Daya Tarik dari Batik sebagai Busana,” kata Irno Sukarno dari Badan Promosi Pariwisata Daerah, yang menjadi mitra pendukung kegiatan tersebut.

Kegiatan lainnya adalah “Lomba Foto Event” yang akan mengabadikan berlangsungnya kegiatan ini. Dengan berbagai angle dan minat dari Sang Fotographer itu sendiri. Baik yang sekedar minat atau hobby terhadap Fotografi ini, maupun yang memang menjadikan Fotografi sebagai Profesi.

Bazzar sebagai sarana pembinaan para pelaku usaha juga, dilaksanakan juga. Mengingat adanya keramaian orang yang terpusat dalam kegiatan ini. Dan bisa dimanfaatkan juga, sebagai salasatu “Roda Penggerak Ekonomi” dan perputaran uang pada saat berlangsungnya kegiatan.

Diharapkan dari event ini, Batik sebagai unsur Ekonomi terus meningkat. Memberi manfaat pada Pelaku Kreatif Batik tersebut.  Bisa Pengrajin atau Penulis Batik, Pelaku Batik, Pengusaha Batik, Kreator dengan bahan dasar Batik (Handycraf/Souvenir). Seperti Kantong, Dompet, Gantungan Kunci, dan sebagainya yang menggunakan Batik sebagai Media Ekspresi dan Kreatifitasnya.
