Selain pada masyarakat yang tinggal dibantaran Citarum, sosialisasi pada siswa SMA sebagai generasi muda menjadi prioritas utama sektor 8.
“Karena ini targetnya generasi muda, jadi saya hadirkan mahasiswa UPI sebagai salasatu Narasumber. Supaya bisa berbagi pengalaman dalam menjaga Citarum, Dari Kita, Oleh Kita, Untuk Kita, Karena Citafum adalah Kita,” papar Kolonel Inf Belyuni. H.
Sosialisasi kali ini diisi oleh pemateri Kepala Sekolah SMA Al Fiil Agus Muhtar Sidik, Dansubsektor Gajah Mekar Sertu Enton dan Mahasiswa KKN UPI Puri, Sertu Utang dan Praka Dana WS mewakili Posko Utama Sektor 8, serta dihadiri 100 Siswa beserta para Guru.
Paparan awal dilakukan oleh Puri yang mengajak para siswa untuk bersama-sama menjaga kebersihan Citarum. Karena sungai Citarum merupakan jantungnya Jawa Barat.
“Sungai Citarum untuk kita, oleh kita dan dari kita, karena Citarum adalah kita,” tandas Puri yang langsung mendapat aplaus dari semua peserta dan undangan yang hadir.
Sementara Kepsek SMA Al Fiil Agus Muhtar Sidik, mengingatkan kembali. Bahwa Citarum adalah sungai peradaban, menjadi sumber kehidupan masyarakat.
“Saat ini kejayaan itu hilang, Citarum kini menjadi sungai paling kotor. Tidak bisa lagi menjadi sumber kehidupan yang ada sumber penyakit,” tutur Agus Muhtar.
Berbagai macam sampah dan limbah masuk ke Citarum. Bahkan sungai kebanggan warga Jabar itu, ibarat tempat pembuangan sampah dan limbah yang besar.
“Dengan hadirnya TNI sebagai Satgas Citarum Harum. Alhamdulillah dalam waktu dua tahun, kondisi buruk Citarum perlahan lahan menjadi lebih baik. Semoga waktu 7 tahun, air Citarum bisa menjadi sumber kehidupan lagi dan bisa dikonsumsi,” ucap Kepala sekolah Al Fiil.
“Alhamdulillah sekolah kita diberi kepercayaan oleh Satgas menjadi tempat sosialisasi. Nanti kita akan lakukan penanaman pohon bersama di bantaran Citarum,” Kata Agus Muhtar Sidik.
Sementara itu Dansubsektor Gajah Mekar, Sertu Enton yang mewakili Dansektor 8 memaparkan Kondisi Citarum dari awal hingga saat ini.
“Kita sebagai Satgas tidak bisa bekerja sendiri membenahi sungai Citarum. Harus ada keterlibatan semua pihak, terutama siswa SMA sebagai generasi muda,” kata Sertu Enton.
“Dansektor 8 selalu mengamanatkan kepada kami. Untuk terus mengajak generasi muda, karena adek-adek sekalianlah yang akan menjaga Citarum dimasa yang akan datang.” kata Enton.
