Pengolahan Sampah Bisa Dilakukan Secara masif di 1.568 RW Denga Metode Bola Salju
BANDUNG, BEREDUKASI.COM — PEBGOLAHAN sampah di beberapa wilayah Kota Bandung menunjukkan tren positif. Hal ini disampaikan Sekretaris Daerah Kota Bandung Ema Surmarna saat meninjau 3 titik Tempat Pengelolaan Sampah (TPS-3R), Jumat 8 Juli 2022.
Tiga titik yang ditinjau antara lain RW 01 Kelurahan Ciumbuleuit, RW 12 Kelurahan Maleer, dan RW 05 Kelurahan Panjunan. Ketiganya menunjukkan perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik dalam pengolahan sampah.
‘Masing-masing progress (pengolahan sampah) bervariasi. Hanya, yang mendekati ideal memang TPS di RW 12 Kelurahan Maleer,’ kata Ema.
Dikatakan demikian, sebab di wilayah ini, pola pikir masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah sudah jauh lebih baik. Misalnya seperti penerapan Kang Pisman, jadwal pengangkutan sampah, hingga pengelolaan sampah di TPS.
‘Mindset, tindakan, dan perilaku masyarakat sudah sesuai apa yang kita harapkan. Kesadaran masyarakat untuk memilah sampah organik, anorganik, dan residu sudah dilakukan,’ ujarnya.Sampah di TPS-TPS ini diolah menjadi beberapa produk, mulai dari kompos, penyaring sungai, hingga barang rongsokan yang bisa diolah kembali.
Menurut Ema, serapan produk tadi memiliki potensi ekonomi yang besar.
‘Kalau dari dimensi ekonomi ada 3 peluang (yang bisa dikembangkan),’ ucapnya.
Ke depannya, Ema berharap, upaya pengolahan sampah ini bisa dilakukan secara masif di 1.568 RW yang ada di Kota Bandung alias dengan metode bola salju. Jika konsep ini berjalan, harapan menjadikan Bandung sebagai kota nol sampah bukan lagi mimpi semata.
‘Sekarang zero waste digalakkan dari level RW. Bisa naik ke level kelurahan dan kecamatan. Bayangkan jika ini tercapai di level kecamatan, artinya masalah sampah di Kota Bandung selesai,’ ucapnya.
Ema pun meminta kepada Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Bandung untuk menggelar acara diskusi terkait pengolahan sampah. Rencananya, diskusi ini bakal menghadirkan tokoh dan wilayah percontohan yang sukses mengelola sampah.
Wilayah tersebut diproyeksikan untuk berbagi ilmu pengolahan sampah agar bisa ditiru oleh wilayah lainnya.
‘Saya sudah titip ke DLH Kota Bandung. Kita akan lapor ke Pak Wali Kota. Ke depannya kita akan coba sosialisasikan secara masif soal pengolahan sampah ini,’ kata Ema. (ray).
