Acara ini merupakan acara tradisi tahunan. Yang diselenggarakan oleh OSIS SMPN 5 Bandung, tiap angkatan di akhir tahun. Dan tiap tahun temanya berubah-rubah.
“Acara ini merupakan acara tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh OSIS tiap akhir angkatan. Segala sesuatunya yang mempersiapkan adalah para siswa itu sendiri. Ini merupakan bagian dari pendidikan karakter juga. Setiap siswa punya tanggung jawab dengan acara ini. Pihak sekolah hanya memantau dan mengarahkan saja,” papar Yayan Nursofyan, salaseorang guru yang menjadi Ketua Acara.
Ragam seni dan musik ditampilkan seperti V-KING 5 (CHEERLEADER), PADUS 5, GITAR CLASSIC 5, VOCAL GRUP, TARI 5, RAPUH, D’CIF, SOLO SINGING, WHY BAND, CIFFUNKY BAND, PSEUDOLOGIA FANTASTICA, FEBRIAN IHSAN. Dan tidak kalah menarik adalah tampilan para Guru SMPN 5 yang tergabung dalam grup band yang bernama “GURSIS”. Dan yang menjadi Guest Star adalah The Overtunes.
Tampilan The Overtunes, selain mampu membuat “Baper” warga SMPN 5 Kota Bandung. Juga para penonton lainnya yang memang dalam acara “Polymorfia 2019” ini Free Entry alias “Gratis” tidaklah mengherankan. Jika lapangan SMPN 5 yang berlokasi di Jl. Sumatera, Bandung ini dipadati para penonton.
Bahkan terlihat juga Kepala SMPN 5 Bandung yaitu Ujang Wihatma, beserta beberapa Guru dan Komite sekolah turut menyaksikan acara ini hingga usai.
Memang Tiga bersaudara yaitu Mada Emmanuelle Brahmantyo, Reuben Nathaniel Brahmantyo dan Mikha Angelo Brahmantyo dengan bendera grup bandnya The Overtunes. Yang bergenre musik Pop Akustik ini, sedang menjadi grup band idola para remaja. (HKS)
