Bandung, BEREDUKASI.Com – TAHUN 2018 ini, Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bandung Mengecualikan atau Mengkhususkan, “Lima SMPN” dari Sistem Zonasi Umum, dalam proses Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB).
Kelima SMPN tersebut yaitu SMPN 2, SMPN 5, SMPN 7, SMPN 14 dan SMPN 44.
Alasannya, “Lima SMPN” tersebut terletak jauh dari kawasan pemukiman. Sehingga tidak memungkinkan pemberlakuan Sistem Zonasi Umum. Seperti diketahui, Kota Bandung menerapkan sistem zonasi pada proses PPDB. Salasatu komponen seleksi penerimaan siswa yaitu berdasarkan jarak antara sekolah dan tempat tinggal.
Pada “Lima SMPN” itu, kuota zonasi diberlakukan hanya 50% dari daya tampung. Sedangkan di sekolah lain, kuota zonasi ditetapkan sebanyak 90%.
Kepala Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik) Kota Bandung, Elih Sudiapermana menjelaskan, “kebijakan itu diambil agar sistem zonasi di wilayah itu tidak terganggu. Pengurangan kuota zonasi akhirnya menjadi solusinya”.
“SMPN 2, kalau 90% berdasarkan zonasi itu, kira-kira akan sampai ke Antapani. Padahal di Antapani ada SMPN 45, SMPN 49. Termasuk ada SMPN 22. Jadi nanti bisa “crowded”,” ujar Elih di Balai Kota Bandung Jl. Wastukancana, Senin (28/5/2018).
Sebagai penggantinya, Disdik Kota Bandung menerapkan kuota untuk jalur akademik khusus untuk di “Lima SMPN” itu. Kuota yang disiapkan yaitu sebanyak 40% dari total siswa yang diterima.
“Jalur akademik ini di sekolah lain tidak ada. Ini khusus untuk “Lima SMPN ini saja,” imbuh Elih.
Jalur akademik ini merupakan sistem seleksi berdasarkan jumlah nilai Ujian Akhir Sekolah Berstandar Nasional (UASBN). Ditambah nilai rata-rata raport sesuai ketentuan. Setelah komponen ini terpenuhi, barulah sistem akan menyeleksi sesuai Zonasi.
Sistem Zonasi pada kategori ini tetap diberlakukan, meskipun kuotanya diminimalisasi. Elih ingin agar siswa yang bertempat tinggal di lokasi itu, tetap mendapatkan haknya untuk belajar di sekolah yang dekat.
