Yang telah mengalokasikan dana pembangunan untuk sarana pendidikan SMAN 1 Taraju serta mengapresiasi kebijakan Kepala Sekolah yang memberikan pendidikan gratis bagi masyarakat.
Adanya kebijakan pendidikan “Gratis” bagi SMAN 1 Taraju yang digagas oleh H. Yayat Sudrajat selaku Kepala Sekolah. Sangat membantu masyarakat, karena di Kecamatan Taraju ini.
Banyak masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Dengan adanya sekolah gratis ini, mudah mudahan semua anak bisa melanjutkan pendidikannya.
Drs. Yayat Sudrajat, M.Pd menyampaikan, “Dalam upaya membantu program pemerintah yaitu “WAJAR” 12 tahun. Serta memberi pelayanan pendidikan bagi masyarakat SMAN 1 Taraju membebaskan iuran bulanan (SPP) Untuk semua siswa (gratis).
“SMAN 1 Taraju merupakan sekolah yang memiliki lahan terluas yaitu 17.000 M2. Ketika saya ditugaskan di SMAN 1 Taraju, baru 1/3 lahan yang sudah ditempati bangunan sebagiannya 2/3 masih lahan kosong dari tahun 2014 tepatnya tgl 13 oktober 2014. Alhamdulillah dari waktu kewaktu jumlah siswa dan fasilitas sarana belajar terus bertambah. Pertama kali saya bertugas SMAN 1 TARAJU hanya memiliki 13 Rombongan Belajar (Rombel),” papar Yayat Sudrajat.
Berkat dukungan dari semua pihak, tahun pada tahun 2019 ini. SMAN 1 Taraju telah memiliki siswa sebanyak 1112 siswa yang tersebar di sekolah induk 789 orang dan di Sekolah Terbuka 323 orang. Dibina oleh 53 orang guru dan 10 orang tenaga pendidik.
“Sekolah SMAN Taraju 1 telah memiliki 23 Ruang Kelas, 1 Ruang Perpustakaan, 3 Ruang Lab IPA, 2 Ruang Gudang, 1 Mesjid, 1 Ruang BP/BK, 1 Ruang Guru, 3 Lokal Ruang Kantin, 3 Lokasi Area Parkir, 12 Toilet, Tenis Lapangan, Lapang Basket Bal, Lapang Volley, Tenis Meja, Lapang Loncat Jauh. Selain sarana olahraga serta sarana ekstrakurikuler lainnya. Semua fasilitas sarana itu, tentu saja untuk sarana penunjang Prestasi Belajar. (DIN)
