Bandung, BEREDUKASI.Com — MENGUSUNG tema “Rise the Spirit of Tourism in Digital Era”, Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) NHI Bandung. Menggelar “The 2nd NHI Tourism Skill Competition” (NTSC) pada tanggal 1-3 Desember 2020 di STP Bandung secara Daring.
NTSC merupakan Kompetisi Pariwisata Mahasiswa tingkat Nasional dengan kategori Hospitality, Travel dan Tourism.
Adapun 13 mata kompetisi yang terdiri dari Front Office Compertition, Mixing Drink Competition, Art of Plating Competition, Sales Pitch Competition, Tour Package Competition, Business Idea Competition, Festival Event Proposal Competition, Fondant Cake Decoration Competition, TikTok Competition, Travel Photograhphy Competition, Tourism Movie Competition, Tourism Movie Competition, Tourism Research Paper Competition dan Travel Writing Competition.
Ketua Panitia Wisanggeni Agus Priyanto mengungkapkan bahwa acara ini merupakan sebuah wadah. Untuk membentuk Sumber Daya Manusia Pariwisata yang mampu memberikan inovasi dan berkompetisi secara sehat.
“Selain untuk mengimplementasikan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, tujuan diselenggarakannya NTSC adalah memberi kontribusi bagi Pariwisata Indonesia, mengedukasi serta meningkatkan kualitas dan kapasitas SDM. Sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan akademik dan non akademik Mahasiswa Pariwisata. Serta memberikan wadah bagi mahasiswa Pariwisata dalam mengekspresikan diri di kala Pandemi,” terangnya kepada wartawan Rabu (2/12/2020).
Wisanggeni Agus juga menambahkan bahwa NTSC merupakan kegiatan rutin tahunan. Yang dilakukan oleh STP Bandung dan mulai laksanakan pada tahun 2019 dan pada tahun ini adalah penyelengaraan Ke-Dua.
“Antusiasme peserta sangat baik. Terbukti dengan total peserta sebanyak 27 Kampus dari seluruh Indonesia dengan 229 Peserta. Tentu jumlah yang cukup banyak untuk ukuran sebuah Lomba Keterampilan dibidang Pariwisata di tengah pademi Covid-19,” ulasnya.
Penyelenggaraan kegiatan NTSC secara Online ini juga, diharapkan mampu memberikan warna baru bagi penyelengaraan Lomba yang selama ini dilakukan secara Offline.
“Diharapkan adaptasi maupun perubahan yang dilakukan seperti Jenis Lomba, Penjurian, Proses kegiatan maupun acara dapat memberi contoh penyelengaraan lomba dalam bidang Pariwisata bagi penyelengaraan kegiatan-kegiatan lain baik di STP Bandung maupun tempat lain,” ucapnya.
Kegiatan NTSC juga bertujuan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan Akademik dan Non Akademik Mahasiswa Pariwisata, serta memberikan wadah bagi Mahasiswa Pariwisata dalam mengekspresikan diri dan berkarya ditengah Pandemi. (Tiwi Kasavela).
