Mau Buang Sampah Besar Seperti Sofa,  Springbed, Kulkas Atau Barang Besar Lainnya ? Segera Call Center 022-720 7889

BANDUNG,  BEREDUKASI.COM — WARGA Bandung masih bingung buang sampah besar seperti kasur atau lemari ke mana? Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Pengelolaan Sampah Kota Bandung menyediakan jasa angkut sampah besar langsung ke lokasi Anda.
Kepala UPT Pengelolaan Sampah Kota Bandung, Ramdani atau yang kerap disapa Dani menjelaskan, sebelum pengambilan sampah, warga terlebih dahulu menghubungi call center 022-720 7889 untuk menjadwalkan penjemputan sampah besar. Setelah itu, petugas lapangan akan menghubungi untuk verifikasi alamat dan kesiapan penjemputan sampah besar.
‘Pada satu titik jemput, maksimal bisa membuang dua unit sampah besar. Usahakan sampah besar sudah diletakkan di depan rumah agar mudah diangkut ke mobil,’ ujar Dani, Senin, 4 Juli 2022.
Jika lokasi penjemputan berada di gang, sebaiknya angkut ke pinggir jalan terlebih dahulu untuk memudahkan proses pengambilan sampah. Nah, menariknya program ini tidak dipungut biaya apapun alias gratis.
‘Kita tidak tarik tarif untuk warga yang ingin buang sampah besar. Kecuali untuk komersil seperti perusahaan atau hotel, itu ada biaya jasanya,’ ucapnya.
Berdasarkan data dari UPT Pengelolaan Sampah Kota Bandung, sejak Januari-Juni 2022 tercatat sebanyak 259 sampah besar yang telah diangkut.
Beberapa sampah besar yang kerap dibuang oleh masyarakat antara lain, Springbed, Kasur, Meja, Kursi, Lemari, Kulkas, Mesin Cuci dan Ranjang.
Tidak semua sampah ini langsung dibuang ke tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA). Sebagian besarnya diperbaiki agar bisa digunakan kembali.
‘Kalau sampah seperti kursi dan sofa yang kakinya pincang, kita simpan di pul dulu untuk ditambal. Lumayan bisa dipakai lagi buat duduk di taman,’ ungkapnya.
‘Atau ada pegawai yang mau ambil juga bisa. Kalau sama sekali sudah tidak bisa ‘Reuse’, baru kita kirim ke TPA,’ imbuh Dani.
Sebab, ia mengaku, jika masih banyak Furnitur yang sebenarnya bisa diperbaiki dan digunakan kembali oleh orang-orang yang membutuhkan.
Ia juga mengatakan, ke depannya UPT Pengelolaan Sampah Kota Bandung akan membuat konsep Second Hand Market seperti di luar negeri.
‘Jadi, kalau ada barang besar yang tidak terpakai, kita umumkan di media sosial. Nanti, bagi yang mau bisa langsung jemput ke lokasi. Jadi, kita bisa meminimalisasi sampah ke TPA,’ paparnya.
Sampah-sampah besar yang sudah tidak layak digunakan, akan dibuang ke TPA Sarimukti untuk ditimbun dengan Sistem Controlled Landfill.
‘Jadi sampah besar itu ditumpuk, diratakan, lalu ditimbun. Katanya nanti kalau di Legok Nangka baru akan diolahnya menggunakan Sistem Incinerator,’ ujarnya.
Dani menceritakan, latar belakang program sampah besar ini, saat ia dan timnya tengah membersihkan sungai dan lahan sampah liar, ternyata banyak kita temukan sampah besar.
‘Dulu kami pernah bersihkan sungai yang ada di perbatasan kota dan kabupaten sekitar Buahbatu. Ternyata kami menemukan ada Bathtub yang sumbat saluran, makanya jadi banjir di sana. Bayangin, Bathtub sebesar itu dibuang ke sungai,’ tuturnya.
Maka dari itu, ia berharap dengan adanya program ini bisa memfasilitasi masyarakat agar tidak membuang sampah besar ke sungai atau lahan kosong sembarangan. (din).
