Bupati Purwakarta, Anne Ratna Mustika menyadari hal tersebut. Atas dasar itu pula, pihaknya mengeluarkan kebijakan tegas. Guna melindungi lahan pertanian yang masih tersisa ini. Salasatu caranya yakni memperketat Izin Pembangunan Perumahan Baru di Purwakarta.
“Kami akui, semakin berkembangnya wilayah, maka alih fungsi lahan semakin menghantui. Ini yang harus kami antisipasi,” ujar Anne, Rabu (30/10/19).
Anne menjelaskan, dari data yang ada di Dinas terkait luasan sawah baku di wilayahnya mencapai 18 ribu hektar. Dari jumlah tersebut, 10 ribu hektare merupakan sawah irigasi teknis dan 8.000 hektar di antaranya merupakan sawah tadah hujan.
Anne menegaskan, kedepannya lahan-lahan produktif ini tidak boleh beralih fungsi dengan alasan apapun. Pihaknya, akan menguatkan komitmen dengan para pemilik lahan, supaya tak terlalu mudah menjual lahan pertanian mereka.
“Kalau dijual, nanti kami akan memintai keterangan kepada pembelinya itu kegunaan lahan tersebut. Selanjutnya untuk apa…? Kalau untuk industri atau perumahan, kami tak akan izinkan,” tegasnya.
Bupati yang akrab disapa Ambu Anne mengaku, pihaknya harus mengintervensi guna mempertahankan lahan produktif tersebut. Hal ini, juga bagian dari upaya pemerintah dalam meningkatkan produksi pertanian.
Saat ini Pemkab telah menetapkan lahan pertanian di 4 Kecamatan menjadi wilayah yang terlarang atau “Zona Merah” untuk alih fungsi lahan. Seperti Kecamatan Babakan Cikao, Bungursari, Cempaka dan Cibatu.
“Di 4 Kecamatan ini sudah kami tandai, tidak boleh ada satu jengkal pun lahan pertanian produktif yang beralih fungsi,” tegas Anne.
Upaya lainnya yaitu dengan terus mendorong dan memberikan motivasi kepada para petani melalui berbagai bantuan.
Anne mengatakan, bahwa tahun depan Pemkab berencana menggelar sebuah event menarik. Sebagai upaya mengajak kaum milenial supaya tertarik sektor pertanian.
